About Us
Rico Söhnel’s master craftsman training laid the foundation for his own company, leading to the establishment of the sole proprietorship Söhnel Elektroanlagen in 2003. Due to a steadily increasing order volume and growing project sizes, Söhnel Elektroanlagen GmbH was founded in September 2007. In 2010, the new company headquarters was established in Roßwein in the “Goldene Höhe” industrial park. Switchgear for low-voltage distribution and photovoltaics are to be built there.
In 2013, Rico Söhnel took over the commercial management of Plümer Systemtechnik GmbH, a company specializing in telecommunications construction, civil engineering, and cable and electrical construction. In 2016, the main office in Roßwein was expanded. In 2018, Rico Söhnel acquired HWH Tief- und Kabelbau GmbH, now Söhnel Tief- und Kabelbau GmbH. In the same year, he also acquired HWE Elektro GmbH and Möbius Elektro GmbH, which were integrated into Söhnel Elektroanlagen GmbH.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the new branch in Leipzig took place in 2019. After a two-year construction period, Söhnel Elektroanlagen Leipzig and Söhnel Tief- und Kabelbau moved in. Söhnel Fernmeldebau GmbH, based in Rochlitz, also received a new and modern building in 2022.
In 2025, Rico Söhnel acquired Elektro Roßwein GmbH, and all employees were retained. The specialist retail and repair service for household appliances now complements the service portfolio of Söhnel Elektroanlagen GmbH. Mr. Hellmuth will become the technical managing director.
On January 1, 2026, EBU Energiebau Union GmbH from Kriebstein was acquired. 8 employees were retained.
The Söhnel group of companies currently employs 295 permanent staff members who are active throughout Saxony and beyond. Through continuous development, qualification, and the addition of experienced employees, we have evolved into a company that covers the entire spectrum of electrical and telecommunications engineering as well as civil engineering. Our specialization lies in industrial and commercial construction.
