How much safety is there in your company?

The inspection of portable equipment ensures recognised, standards-compliant safety for all electrical devices and systems in your business. This inspection documents their proper condition and enables hazards to be identified before damage can occur.

Whether PC, telephone or coffee machine—nothing works without electricity. This makes it all the more important to regularly check the condition of the electrical installation and the connected devices. Even a minor defect can cause major damage.

Risks such as overvoltage, short circuits and fire hazards can lead to a complete shutdown of operations. In the event of damage, the insurer will ask whether the electrical installation was inspected in accordance with VDE regulations. Only regular inspections can ensure safe use.

We inspect your electrical devices and systems

Inspection intervals required by law:

  • every 4 years
    fixed equipment

  • at least annually
portable electrical equipment, extension leads and appliance connection leads with plug-in devices, connection leads, flexible cables with plug and fixed connection

  • annually
electrical systems and equipment in “workplaces, rooms and systems of a special type”

Fire statistics 2022

Fire statistics 2022

The statistics show that electrical fires rank at the top of fire statistics—statistically, a fire breaks out every 2 minutes. The cause of every third fire is attributable to electrical systems and devices. These are often underestimated as a source of fire; therefore, electrical devices in commercial settings are subject to a periodic maintenance obligation.

Only those who inspect regularly can be sure

Protect your employees from the hazards posed by overvoltage or short circuits, as well as from the fires that can result.

Avoid unnecessary machine downtime and high repair costs caused by consequential damage due to inadequate maintenance.

In the event of damage, you can provide proof to insurers and the employers’ liability insurance association that your systems and devices are in proper condition.

As a trained specialist guild company, we carry out the inspection of portable equipment in accordance with DGUV 3 at your premises using our qualified specialist personnel and appropriate measuring and testing technology.

Also remember the smoke alarm requirement in Saxony from 31/12/2023

Another measure to make your company safer is the installation of smoke alarms. They can detect smoke development and potential fires at an early stage so that countermeasures can be initiated in good time. Please ensure, however, that the smoke alarms are serviced and checked regularly to guarantee their functionality. In this way, you make an effective contribution to the safety of your employees and your premises.
