Grid Connection for Renewable Energies
The grid connection is an essential component of a wind power or photovoltaic system. Only with a grid connection can the system be commissioned and fully fulfill its purpose of feeding the converted wind/solar energy into the power grid. Smaller systems are connected to the medium-voltage grid via a transformer, where low voltage is stepped up to medium voltage. The transformer is usually located in a separate building or container. Large systems in the megawatt range and wind farms are connected to the high-voltage or extra-high-voltage grid. The commissioning of the grid connection point takes place in cooperation with the grid operator.
The Söhnel Group possesses extensive expertise, trained personnel, and a well-equipped fleet of vehicles and machinery. We are your partner in the fields of electrical, civil engineering, cable, and telecommunications construction. Our services include obtaining permits, e.g., for railway crossings, all earthworks, route planning and laying of energy cables from the wind/solar park to the grid connection point, and the installation of electronic components such as transformers, cables, and control technology.
